Relay For Life is a community celebration where participants camp out, dance and take turns walking, running or rolling around a track to raise funds to support the Canadian Cancer Society in their fight against cancer. This fundraising event begins with a Survivors Lap and as nightfall approaches, participants light hundreds of luminary candles around the track as a tribute to the lives of loved ones who have been touched by cancer. Proceeds from Relay For Life help the Canadian Cancer Society fund.

2016 marks FarmFolk CityFolk's 50th Feast of Fields and we're excited to celebrate with you! We're returning to one of the first host farm sites, Fraser Common Farm Co-Op, who is teaming up with neighbour, Laurica Farm, to provide a stunning backdrop to this year's 50th Feast. This year's Gold Anniversary event will be full of history, innovation, creativity and connection. FarmFolk CityFolk's Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields is the culinary event of the summer season.

With a wine glass and linen napkin in hand, guests stroll across a farmers field, traveling from tent to tent, listening to live music, and tasting gourmet creations from BC top chefs, farmers, fishers, ranchers, food artisans, vintners, brewers, distillers and other beverage producers. Feast of Fields is FarmFolk CityFolk's largest annual fundraising event.

Funds raised from these events support FarmFolk CityFolk's work to cultivate a local, sustainable food system in British Columbia.

WaterWeeks, hosted by Langley Environmental Partners Society in partnership with the Township of Langley, is an annual series of free family events designed to encourage citizen participation in environmental conservation. WaterWeeks provides opportunity for residents of all ages to engage in a variety of activities to experience, appreciate and take action to protect our community’s watercourses, watersheds, groundwater and wildlife habitats.

WaterWeeks starts with the BC Rivers Day Community Festival on Sunday September 30th, 11am-2pm at Williams Park (6595- 238 St).
Join LEPS and the Township of Langley for the 32nd annual celebration of rivers in Canada…BC Rivers Day! This year’s free family event offers 30 interactive displays and activity booths, including: a ‘Creek Peek’ to view juvenile salmon and aquatic bugs; bird house building; streamside tree planting; Ask a Master Gardener; Stream Care Puppet Theatre; the life size salmon board game; the Green Can Home Tour; the All Star Circus; and so much more! On-site lunch concession provided by Wilkys Grill and the Suburban Spoon. The festival features live music by popular family entertainer, Tony Prophet and Langley-based Dixieland jazz ensemble, the Genuine Jug Band!!
