The city of Langley, British Columbia, is located 45 km (28 mi) southeast of Vancouver. Due to its location only 24 km (15 mi) from the Pacific Ocean, Langley enjoys a temperate year-round climate, which supports a thriving agricultural industry with a large horse population. Fort Langley National Historical Site is one of the city's biggest attractions, and preserves Langley's historical significance as an important Hudson's Bay Company trading fort.
