Langley, BC at a Glance
The city of Langley, British Columbia,
is located 45 km (28 mi) southeast of Vancouver.
Due to its location only 24 km (15 mi) from the Pacific Ocean, Langley enjoys
a temperate year-round climate, which supports a thriving agricultural industry
with a large horse population. Fort
Langley National Historical Site is one of the city's biggest attractions,
and preserves Langley's historical significance as an important Hudson's Bay Company
trading fort. The Canadian
Museum of Flight is another attraction worth visiting, as it houses over 25
aircraft dating back to the early 20th Century, as well as other related exhibits.
Animal lovers should arrange a tour of the Mountain
View Conservation & Breeding Centre, which is dedicated to preserving and
protecting a number of extremely rare species, including the Vancouver Island
marmot. Langley also has several golf courses, offering a challenging day on the
links for players of all expertise.
